# The Bank

Money in your wallet is at risk. Money in your bank is not.

**When you die, you lose 50% of the money in your wallet.** Money sitting in your bank account is untouched. This is the single most important thing to know about the Androlia economy.

## Getting access

The bank is reserved for players with the **Wizard** rank and above. Without it:

> You must have the **ᴡɪᴢᴀʀᴅ** rank to use the bank! Visit the NPC at spawn.

## The main menu

| Icon | Button                   | What it does                                    |
| ---- | ------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| 🥇   | **Deposit Funds**        | Moves money from your wallet into the bank      |
| 📘   | **Account Information**  | Your level, balance, capacity and interest rate |
| ⚪    | **Withdraw Funds**       | Moves money from the bank back to your wallet   |
| ⭐    | **Upgrade Bank Storage** | Raises your capacity and your interest rate     |

## Depositing and withdrawing

Both open the same **amount selector**, where you build the number before confirming it:

| Control                       | Effect                                                   |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| 🟩 `+1` `+10` `+100` `+1,000` | Adds to the selected amount                              |
| 🟥 `-1` `-10` `-100` `-1,000` | Subtracts from it                                        |
| 📦 **\[ ALL FUNDS ]**         | Instantly selects everything you can deposit or withdraw |
| 🏷️ **Custom amount**         | Closes the menu and lets you type the number in chat     |
| 🟢 **CONFIRM**                | Executes the transaction                                 |
| 🔴 **CANCEL**                 | Aborts, nothing happens                                  |

The selected amount is displayed in the middle of the menu as you build it.

The bank will refuse the operation and tell you why if:

* you don't have enough in your wallet (deposit);
* you don't have enough in the bank (withdrawal);
* the deposit would exceed your **storage capacity**.

## Interest

Every night at **midnight**, interest is paid on your bank balance:

> You received **1 250.00 $** in daily interest!

Interest is calculated for **every account**, including players who are offline. You don't need to be connected to earn it — you just get told about it the next time you log in.

The rate depends on your bank level, and it only applies to money **in the bank**. Your wallet earns nothing.

## Bank levels

Upgrading raises both your **maximum capacity** and your **interest rate**. Click **Upgrade Bank Storage** to buy the next level.

The upgrade cost is charged from your **wallet**. If you can't afford it:

> You cannot afford this upgrade. Cost: **20 000 $**

At level 10 the button shows **MAX** and the bank tells you it's already maxed out.

## Good habits

1. **Bank first, spend later.** Anything you're not about to spend belongs in the bank.
2. **Upgrade early.** Level 2 costs 5 000 $ and multiplies your capacity by five — it pays for itself almost immediately.
3. **Withdraw only what you need.** [Island upgrades](/androlia/oneblock/upgrades.md) and [shop purchases](/androlia/economy-and-progression/shops.md) are paid from your wallet, so take out the exact amount just before buying.
4. **Your transactions are logged.** Every deposit, withdrawal and interest payment is recorded, so the staff can always check what happened to your money.
